Michael Keaton is an American actor, producer and director who is most well-known for his role in the film 'Birdman. As a versatile actor, he has the ability to play comedy and dramatic roles. He's also played a few romantic characters and appeared in several action thrillers during his professional career. He was attracted to performing and acting when the age of his teens and attempted stand-up comedy while a young man. His comedy career was not successful, though it helped pave the way to the path to a career in acting. Not able to achieve success as a comic, he took up a job as a television cameraman in a cable station. When he was working in the station that he realized that he actually wanted to be present in front of cameras. The TV role was agreed to and he appeared on several episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. An actor with natural talent, he was quickly a hit on TV. His comedic characters brought him fame and he embarked upon an acting career with high ambitions. The accolades grew as he played Batman's own superhero in Tim Burton's Batman. As an actor, he grew over time and ventured into direction and production areas. For his role in Birdman (2014) He was awarded numerous nominations and awards.
